At the beginning of February 2010 there were 155 detached single family homes for sale in Danville (up from 138 last month) and 48 condos and townhomes etc. This is just over 3 months supply of single family homes and 2 months supply of condos etc.
    So activity has increased as expected in January. There are plenty of buyers about although still a shortage of homes. Most new listings are being offered for sale at realistic prices and they are selling quickly. The Average Days on Market for single family homes is somewhat distorted by a number of very old listings that eventually found buyers this month.
    Small increases in the median price of single family homes are continuing, at least for homes under $1m. Above that figure, the picture is not so clear. Buyers below $1m are encouraged to move quickly as otherwise they may find the home they want to buy is out of their reach.
